Every course in the program has been a challenge in its own way, and all the reviews and feedback throughout the program were instrumental in improving the work that followed— whether in style, structure, or, most importantly, focus on each subject. I have learned an incredible amount, which is difficult to fully quantify, but I am deeply grateful for the entire program.
The curriculum has opened clear doors to further knowledge and understanding across many subjects. Academically, the structure provided much-needed direction. Interestingly, these studies began out of urgency to help others recover their health. At the beginning, the volume of medical information felt overwhelming and almost impossible to navigate. I am very pleased that the curriculum gave me the right foundations—exactly what I needed.
With this preparation, I now have many projects ahead, from health consultancy and content development to potential research studies. Overall, the program has better equipped me to guide and help others in health matters, and many will benefit from this work.
I would also like to extend my sincere appreciation to the entire University staff—from the registrar to every professor. Everyone has been fantastic. A special thanks to Dr. Drake for creating the University and making high-quality medical education accessible online.

Hello, Dr. Walter P. Drake,JD. It was a superior and interesting Doctor’s program. It was a very interesting and arranged program through which all staff of Blue Marble University Medical school dedicated services to have awarded my Doctor of Science (D.Sc.) in Medical Arts. I am proud of you and your team, as you are the founders to address throughout the world’s individuals who had and will have lower socio-economy and higher demand for knowledge and skills. Everything, you made scientific work to balance between high income and low income people. I do not have words to explain it. I just have so much endless thankyou’s for your setting up the online MD degree and D.Sc. programs and to all Blue Marble University staff participants.

After high school, I enrolled in the University of North Carolina Pembroke but I disliked my curriculum so I decided to enroll in BMU. After I graduated from BMU, I went to Cape Fear Community College which I’m currently enrolled in right now [health sciences leading to licensing]. BMU is an online University and I’ve taken online courses from all 3 institutes so I’m able to compare them.
The best thing about BMU is that there are no courses that use an external platform for your assignments (Canvas, McGraw Hill, etc.), and the only account you need is your student portal. This also means courses are very self-paced compared to many of the other classes I’ve taken. Instead of forcing you to be in the pace of the class with other students or the professor wants to “gate-keep” you from the next assignments, you can be as ahead as you want. BMU gives a syllabus for every course just like any other traditional college course and it gives resources such as books and videos to help you out if you don’t understand the material. There are courses such as math and writing which are similar to traditional schools however, BMU seems to value quality over quantity. They give a small number of assignments that are long in length and are sometimes projects. Therefore, you can focus on a single assignment at a time rather than having to make a schedule and keep track of a long list. BMU offers you courses that are never going to be seen in other curriculums such as Immunochemistry, quality control designs, cultures, religion, and so much more.
BMU courses, especially in the STEM department, are very hands-on for an online school compared to both of the institutes I’ve been in. An example of that is my Electronics Lab which uses the Arduino software on a real circuit board. The student is instructed to build circuits on the board and explain how they work by learning the components of the circuit. They take pictures to show their progress and write a document about it. Another example from my Engineering course, I’ve also had hands-on experience with MATLAB which is a programming language and software for real engineers. I was provided video tutorials on how to use it and created simulated circuits with the Simulink software add-on. This makes me feel like each BMU assignment is made with the thought to truly educate the student on the subject matter rather than forcing students to write essays on unnecessary open-ended topics. In other words, you’ll learn what you really need. Speaking of learning, BMU courses are definitely designed to solve your own problems and find your own methods of completing the assignments. Of course, it’s unrealistic that BMU only has positives so I’ll give some negatives that might affect other students. BMU doesn’t offer extra credit assignments, practice assignments, and late assignments. Another negative that people might spot, is that BMU does not “hold hands” with you throughout your course. Like I said above, it’s very self-paced and problem-solving oriented.

Dear Dr. Chopra- I’m incredibly grateful for the time and care you put into reviewing my exams—your commentary and insights were not only helpful but also eye-opening, especially around the nuanced realities of transplant immunology and the regulatory barriers to autologous therapies. I learned a great deal through your courses, and your guidance has sharpened my thinking in ways that will carry forward into both my clinical and scientific work. Your honesty, intellectual rigor, and willingness to challenge conventional narratives are qualities I deeply admire. Please know that I would welcome any opportunity to collaborate with you in the future, whether through research, advocacy, or academic initiatives… I am very proud alumni!

“For me, as an engineer pursuing a medical degree, the greatest challenge was vocabulary, but this became less of a problem as my studies progressed. The courses covered topics that were new to me, but the syllabi and assignments were clear and interesting, and the course materials and videos were excellent. I am proud to be a graduate of your program, and I thank you for guiding me through the medical school curriculum…
Thank you Dr. Kirawittaya, not only for your initial emails of encouragement and guidance sent to all new students, but also for the detailed corrections on my first exams…I also want to thank you, Dr. Songkhia and Dr. Drake, for the exchange of emails and discussion that we had following the end of my Year 2, Term 1 stem cells classes. It helped put some of the course materials into perspective and gave me additional insight into the future of stem cell therapy… I shall close with a final thank you for the very positive experience I had at Blue Marble University Medical School. THANK YOU.”

Jeanne S. (USA)
D.Sc. Instructional Design and Technology

“I just had my D.Sc. in Instructional Design and Technology evaluated as being equivalent to a United States Ed.D. degree, and I am delighted! The lessons I learned will be helpful to my current career regardless of future outcomes. I am very pleased with my education at Blue Marble University! Besides, I know PhDs from prestigious brick-and-mortar United States universities who could not find work in their fields, so nothing is certain in life regardless of our choices.
I previously had master’s degrees from two different accredited United States universities, and I am working under two state teaching certifications (special education and instructional technology). I chose a different path for my doctorate, knowing full well that it might not open as many doors as an accredited degree. I wanted a better balance between practical skills, theory, and research than I felt that I could get at typical American universities. My original idea was to go to a U.S. university then become a college professor, but I know too many out-of-work professors. I decided to take a different path. For me, this was a successful program and I am glad that I chose Blue Marble University.
Thank you, Blue Marble University! I already use much of what I learned with the students in my current job, and anything that helps me to be a better teacher is a good thing. The future is a big unknown, and I may or may not get any tangible benefits from this degree, but for the present, I am very pleased with Blue Marble University and the education that I received.
Blue Marble University will not be for everyone. Some jobs and further study opportunities require degrees from accredited universities. The fact is that I love teaching, and once I decided not to become a professor, I could explore options that better suited my interests. Sure, I sincerely hope that my degree will help me to find work after I retire from teaching, but I am aware that there are no guarantees in life.
My transcript evaluation clearly states: “JEANNE S. holds the U.S. equivalent of a DOCTOR OF EDUCATION IN INSTRUCTIONAL SYSTEM DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY awarded by Regionally Accredited Universities in the United States,” but it took me three attempts. Some companies will not evaluate the degree as equivalent to a doctorate from an accredited U.S. university. Some employers and schools only accept evaluations from foreign transcript evaluation companies that they have approved. But if knowledge is what you are after, you can get it here.”

“[Blue Marble University presents] a lean and exceptionally realistic approach to education. For learners with family and professional lives looking for options in further education where time and money are in short supply, like myself, this is a great choice. Really, it was a joy for me to serendipitously find a school looking at education in such a fashion, and as I worked my way through the program, my respect for the school’s approach to further education only deepened.
I never did feel lost though, and knew clearly my purpose and path for each course, which gave me confidence and urged me forward. This was due to the promptness, clarity and thoughtfulness of instructor guidance and administrative staff communications. These expressed the high-degree of professional care infused within the school. This care was inspiring and it greatly took the edge off of solo virtual self-learning!
Blue Marble University’s China Program brought meaning, value and reward into my career and life up to and beyond expectation.”

“[Dear Dr. Drake] When I first began to search for completion of an MD program, one of the foremost attractive points was the honesty that was consistently displayed in your writings/website. When I read about your journey to seek knowledge, coupled with intention to do something to set up a university where your son would get educated, and your writings on accreditation and some of the rat race that is happening in non-real universities, it simply matched with what was going on within me. You never gave up and consistently upgraded yourself, staying throughout connected with your core! Fantastic Dr. Walter!
Please accept the Final exam assignments that I have attached to this email. Please take your time as per your University schedule. This is my final term and exams!!.
I really have to thank you for the opportunity and a tremendous experience!! I am trying to find reasons why Blue Marble University School of Medicine is not yet accredited. Again, I state the fact, the BlueMarble University Medical School MD program is equal to an MD-PhD program offered by many so-called accredited schools. This is not eulogy, but from my first hand experience having gone through quite a few universities. It’s my experience that the value of accredited schools has dropped down within my personal space. What I could not get a grip on, for example in terms of research paper analysis in the past, I did that in your program. I was not used to write ups, essay types in medical schools. Of course, MCQs are a good way of learning the precise facts, but essay types are best for demonstrating the comprehension, thought process, and ability to reproduce a sequence of events. Therefore, I don’t have any hesitation to say that your MD program is no less than any popular accredited medical school…Now during post-pandemic most schools have gone online including clinical rotations, I sincerely wish Blue Marble Medical School is accredited by default without any Himalayan accreditation fees. The future is online and it is already happening, and you have set precedence a long time ago!! I once again thank you for the time and consideration.!”
